Reconocer cuando estás escuchando un futuro clásico no es una tarea fácil. Desde una opinión subjetiva, un clásico puede ser cualquier cosa desde Bach hasta Chino y Nacho, pero de una manera objetiva, se puede profundizar más en lo que ha tenido impacto y lo que no en la escena musical a nivel internacional a lo largo de todos estos años. Esta lista, sin embargo, se rige por el primer concepto mencionado. No soy una persona que adora articular opiniones objetivas al aire sin tener algo en que fundamentarlas, y ciertamente lo único que tengo en este caso es mi propio gusto musical.
Una de las razones que sé que está contribuyendo a que por fin termine esto es el misterio sobre la aprobación de la ley SOPA. Es mucho mejor prevenir y dar estas listas con todos sus links organizados antes de que algo drástico le pueda pasar a la libertad en internet. Esta lista está hecha desde diciembre, y no es más que un artículo de lo que yo considero que toda persona que quiera ser musicalmente educada debería escuchar desde la pasada década hasta acá.
Cuando anuncié que estaba trabajando en esta guía, naturalmente no había escuchado nada del 2012 todavía, y aunque recomiendo esperar a que el año tenga ya varios meses, "Attack on Memory" de Cloud Nothings y "Future This" de The Big Pink son los que me han dado mejor impresión hasta ahora.
